People of diverse races, ethnicities, faiths, and other groups make up the society. People have been talking about a pluralistic society and how people get along in it lately. This issue says that Islam does things very differently because it takes time to build the best and most lasting relationships. It is important to note that Islam mainly drives out the root of societal division, which is racism and bigotry. A person can make as many laws as they want, but as long as the disease is hurting people's emotions, there is no way to say that society is united. The debates over immigration in the US and Europe are the best examples of this. People who don't like outsiders may just be full-blooded citizens, but this will always get in the way of normal and healthy interactions in society. "O people!" It is true that We have fashioned you a man out of man and a wife out of woman to make you into countries and tribes so that you may comes to know each other, and the ...

Islam in the Modern World: Challenges and Opportunities

It's worrying that threats that are alleged to come from the Islamic world are related to international terrorism. Along with the threat of international terrorism rising, we also see the threat of the globe splitting along religious lines. We need to avoid a new fight between religions. We need to fight against the radicalism and rationalism of Islam as an alternative to its stance against an ideological rule, as we know that a dictatorship of force can only bring about force or revenge. Muslims and their communities are quite clear about their desire to have productive conversations with people of other religions.

They also hope that people of other religions will feel the same way. The Council of Muftis of Russia has always been guided by the ideas of moderate Islam. The peaceful coexistence of people of different faiths in Russia for over a thousand years is an example for the whole world of how to live in goodness. The intellectual coherence of Muslim theological thought in the face of the growth of moderation and progressiveness in Islam would help individuals, especially young people, who are looking for answers to the issues of our time.

There is no compulsion in religion

I want to quote what Mahathir Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, said at the 2003 summit of the leaders of state and government of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation: We are trained to read and learn. Early Muslims knew this, and they also began to study the Greeks and mix what they learned with what they already knew. Because of this, they were able to pass on to the world outstanding mathematicians, physicists, and astronomers who were smarter than everyone else in their day.

So, they were able to grow their wealth, build powerful armies, protect their people, and give them a way of life that was in line with Islam. When Europeans were lagging behind, educated Muslims had already built their great civilization, which was strong and respected, and could protect Muslims from attacks from outside. But then new Islamic intellectuals came along who began to see science as just Islamic theology. Everything else was left out. And that's how regression began. Prophet Muhammad (peace be with him) encouraged his followers to learn, even if it meant going to China.

This call was quite revolutionary in his time and among his people, and it is still revolutionary now

Muslims shouldn't be afraid to work in fields like law, political science, economics, quantum physics, astronomy, or biology. The miraculous signs of divine greatness will be everywhere, in every area of human activity, showing us the philanthropic power of the Almighty and his all-knowing wisdom. Being realistic is important to us now since the attacks against Islam will not end. It is no secret that more and more Muslims are moving into the world. In Western Europe and the United States, the number of people who follow our precious religion is going down.

The Muslim ummah should be ready to respond in a way that is right. We should respond with understanding, formation, and acceptance of all the wonderful things that come with progress that do not go against Islamic principles and ways of life. However, this is only possible with a high level of education. The younger generation of Muslims needs to study the main principles of Islamic teaching and also learn about the latest technology so that they can become successful in a variety of fields.

We can only agree on the progress of all people via education and understanding

Today, everything in the world is so intertwined and dependent on one other. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Abdullah ibn Ahmad Badawi, talks about and promotes the model of Islam Hadari, or Civilizational Islam. This model is important for both economic growth and creating a peaceful society, as the Holy Quran says we should do as Muslims. Islam Hadari is very concerned about the need to grow in a balanced way. It relates to both the physical and spiritual sides of life and attempts to improve the quality of life without losing spirituality.

The idea of Islam Hadari, like that of Al Wasatiyyah, is not a new one in our religion. It comes from the Holy Quran and the Sunna of the Prophet. It can be used, along with the creation of a strategy for moderation and tolerance, as the basis for a general principle for the growth of the global ummah. Muslims need to know that we should be the best at everything these days.

Conclusion

The Islamic world can't live in the past. To do this, how could one forget and take into account their own history, that is, the history of Islamic civilization, which, in turn, enriched world science and made a big contribution to Western civilization not only through the works of the medieval geniuses: Ibn Sina, Ulugh Beg, Al-Ghazali, Zakariya al-Razi, Khwarizmi, Farabi, Ibn Rushd, the encyclopedists, who, in previous centuries, were Yet, the very nowadays, the names of adherers of the religion, Islam, are echoed in the ranks of the laureates of the world prizes at a high level in sphere of science and culture.

It is the high knowledge and achievements of world science and culture, along with the priceless works of art that our civilization has given us. Modern Muslims with Muslim culture and traditions of Islam, which have kept the best things about human relationships, families, respect for older people, and raising children in the family, etc., based on following the main principles of the Sharia. This is the only combination that can give us a decent answer to modernity.
