The Lord guides the Prophet Muhammad's words and actions through the revelation [53:3–4]. Allah gave the Prophet ﷺ insight so that he could tell people what the scripture means to God and provide them all they need to exercise their rights and worship the Lord correctly and honestly [16:44]. The Prophet fully devoted himself to God's will, teaching the Quran, theology, and the importance of understanding the Sunnah.
If Muslims and the Muslim ummah didn't have hadiths, which are explanations of the Prophet, they wouldn't be able to explain the book of Allah correctly, and they would have gone off the Straight Path. So, all Muslims should read the life of the Messenger ﷺ and do what he did in every situation. Following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), a true believer will be able to stay in the Lord's favor and follow the straight path without veering off the route or getting lost in the realm of heresy and evil.

This course is obvious, and the light does not go out when a person dies or leave them in the grave or after the resurrection. And because the reward for following this path is Allah's paradise and forgiveness, a person will face many problems and difficulties along the way. As a Muslim, it is your duty to follow the Prophet ﷺ. When the Quran tells us to follow Allah, it also tells us to follow His Messenger ﷺ. The Quran also has verses that say people should obey the Prophet ﷺ, but these do not say that people should obey Allah and the Prophet ﷺ at the same time [4:42; 24:54–56].
This is because following Muhammad's orders means following God's orders as well [4:80]. Allah calls the people who follow the Prophet ﷺ "believers" and promises them success in both worlds [24:52]. On the other hand, Allah warns people who don't follow the Prophet ﷺ with retribution [4:115; 72:23; 4:42].

Following the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is not just for people who lived when he was alive; it is a requirement for all people at all times [7:158]. Allah told Muslims to adore the prophet ﷺ, therefore loving the prophet is a good thing in Islam. He told Muslims to love him more than their own lives, their families, their sons, or their money [9:24]. Muslims have a moral duty to put the Prophet's teachings and conduct above their own. In verse 4:65, Allah declared by Himself that his followers would never be true believers until they made Muhammad ﷺ a judge in every disagreement, big or little.
But this didn't please Allah, who said that people couldn't become true believers just by talking about the Prophet's ruling. People wouldn't become believers until their hearts were free of doubt and dissatisfaction with his ruling and submission to the word of the prophet [33:36]. In Islam, the meaning of Sunnah is very important. The Arabic word Sunnah means pattern, route, way of life, or establishment. But most of the time, it means that later generations should follow the example of the people of earlier generations.

In an Abu Juhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that anyone who paves a good path (sunnah hasanah) for others to follow after him will be rewarded along with the rewards of those who follow his example. The reward of his or her followers will not be lessened in any way.
Most passages in the Quran that talk about the essential issues of Islamic law, morality, and philosophy are easy to read and grasp for everyone. But in other sections, it's important to be clear and specific, and the Sunnah is the main source for comprehending the Quran correctly. The Muslim scholars have worked very hard to save the Prophet's comments on the verses. Without them, the unclear and hard-to-understand faces of revelation will stay that way. For example, the scripture says, "Put on your trappings at all the mosques."
