An worldwide conference called "Orthodoxy and Islam Dialogue in the Name of World Peace" was held on November 15, 2022, in the Center of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society in Moscow. The event is one of the Strategic Vision Group of Russia and the Islamic World's most important efforts to help people from different religious, intellectual, and cultural backgrounds talk to each other. The International Conference was moderated by Hieromonk Grigory Matrusov, who is the Chairman of the Expert Council under the Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Interaction with the Islamic World, and Rushan Hazrat Ablyazov, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Agency of Muslims of Russia.
The Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World," the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society, the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Russian Orthodox Church and the Spiritual Administrations of Muslims in our country all worked together to hold the international conference in Moscow. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also helped with the summit. The main goal of the conference was to get the state, religious, public, educational, and scientific entities to work together to start a conversation between people of different faiths.

who is the Chairman of the Expert Council under the Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Interaction with the Islamic World, and Rushan Hazrat Ablyazov, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Agency of Muslims of Russia. Many well-known political, social, religious, and scientific leaders from Russia and other countries took part in the conferences, both in person and by phone: M. L. Bogdanov is the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Russian Federation. S. V. Stepashin is the Chairman of the IPPO.
G. B. Karasin is the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs and the Deputy Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia-Islamic World." F. Kh. Mukhametshin is the Chief Mu and the Chairman of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims. The opening remark during the conference was given by S.V. Stepashin, the Chairman of the IPPO. He has noticed that these days no one is talking to each other. Instead, there is a discourse between Islam and the Orthodox about working together to fight a common sin. According to S.V. Stepashin, the most important element in interfaith discussion today is to comprehend the threats that affect everyone.

E.V. Yeryomin, who is in charge of the Department for Interaction with Religious Organizations of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, says that this year Russia is celebrating two events that are equally important the 1100th anniversary of Volga Bulgaria adopting Islam as its state religion and the 1100th anniversary of the voluntary acceptance of Christianity as its state religion. He went on to say that all the events that took place in our country to celebrate these anniversaries showed how deeply ingrained and widespread the traditions of these great religions are in our country and culture.
The conference had two representatives from the Interreligious Council of Russia. One was the Executive Secretary, Priest Dmitry Safonov. The people who gave the reports talked about how the residents were doing, how they didn't want to see new religions, and how they thought it was important to have interfaith conversation in the context of global and regional crises. During the conference discussions, people talked about the importance of education and enlightenment in building interreligious dialogue, as well as social projects that help with the spiritual, moral, and patriotic education of young people.

The results of the Conference will be shown in a final report that will be published in Russian, English, and Arabic, depending on what resources were accessible at the Conference. The Conference will send its proposals to religious and spiritual-educational groups.
